Manic Monday

I so need a vacation!

Okay, so let's start with Friday night. Left work and went to get Alex. I got to the airport and they told me gate A7. So off I went. He was due in at 7:41pm. At 7:20pm, a plane arrives and I get so excited. But, after a few minutes I find out that the plane is from Detroit, not Las Vegas. Grrrr... So, where will my son come in? I go to the monitors and they only have departure information. I then go to the Customer Service counter where I ask all the people in line if I can cut in front of them because I can't find my son. They are all very nice and let me go ahead. The lady tells me that he is still coming in at gate A7 and I tell her "I don't think so." So she says "If you are still panicky in 10 minutes, come back." PANICKY?? WTF??? He's due in at the gate in 15 minutes and you tell me to come back if I am still PANICKY? Okay, whatever. I sit at gate A7 when Alex sends me a text message. I ask if he is at a gate and he says YES, where are you? He is at gate A30, which is a long ways from gate A7. I ran, in heels, all the way to gate A19 where they met me. But it was so good to see him.
We then went to Walmart and bought a few things, then went home. David had just come home from his Promotion Dance. I guess he had a great time. It is like the prom for 8th graders since they go on to high school in the Fall. I have a high-schooler!!!!!
Alex had to get introduced to our new birdie, who by the way is now named Galadriel. We think it is a girl! But here she is loving on Alex.
Saturday was full of fun at the Honeywell Spring Picnic. We went to Big Surf in Tempe and had a blast. I also did Alex's hair on Saturday and we baked our cake. It was a good day.
Sunday was rough. It started good with lunch at the Olive Garden. But I think I am either allergic to something or I got a touch of food poisoning again because I was sick for the rest of the afternoon. After lunch though, we went home and hung out in the pool. I helped Alex pack up and we watched a bit of TV. Then I had to take Alex to the airport. WAAAHHH!! We upgraded him to first class, which he was very excited about. I cried on the way home. I miss him a lot and wish he was still here.
Anyway, it looks like we will be going to Mexico. Just need to find someone to watch my house, pets, and 14 year old. Any takers? LOL
